What We Did:
A 50th birthday is a huge milestone and the perfect excuse for a celebration, so we always love getting involved in party planning, helping to add just that extra special finishing touch for our clients!
On this occasion, we were contacted by Peter, who was planning a surprise 50th birthday party for his lovely wife, Laura. With the venue alrea
dy booked and the invites sent out, Peter was looking to add some tasty finishing touches to the celebration. He had already planned to take Laura for a three-course meal on the day of her birthday, so knew that he did not want a heavy, sit-down meal at her party. Instead, he wanted something that guests could snack on throughout the night, while ensuring that there was something to meet everyone’s tastes as both adults and children would be attending.
With this in mind, we knew the perfect solution to meet Peter’s requirements. We recommended that he hired our chocolate fountain, which could be accompanied by sweet treats, along with our fruit palm tree for a healthier alternative. These could sit side by side to create a food display, which work perfectly as a focal point at events, adding a quirky twist to venue decorations.
Peter loved the idea of the chocolate fountain, and fruit palm tree so went ahead with booking both. He chose a selection of dipping foods for the chocolate fountain, which included mini doughnuts, pretzels, marshmallows, strawberries and fudge. The fruit palm tree, on the other hand, was made from several layers of tropical fruits such as pineapple, melon and orange. These could also be dipped into the chocolate fountain if the guests chose to do so.
On the day of Laura’s 50th, our team freshly prepared the palm tree and then set off to the venue to set up. For a finishing touch, we placed LED lights around the base of the chocolate fountain, which looked fantastic. Photos from the display at the event can be found below!
